These beautiful 11” x 60”, supple & lightweight scarves are one-of-kind, and hand dyed using a folding method which is similar to tye dying. They are 100% Habotai Silk and machine hemmed.
Hot Lava
Each scarf is a unique creation with the end results turning out to be a wonderful surprise… even to the artist. While each scarf is made with the same dyes, each one takes on it's own personality. They will give any outfit a artistic flair, and are great for the beach, work, or a night on the town. You'll love the look and feel of this supple lightweight silk! This particular design was inspired by the beautiful, active volcano, Kilauea which is located only a few miles from my home.
Colors used include black, bronze, Dragon Fruit ( deep fuchsia), Sunset Red (orange) and Yellow. Each scarf's coloration has it's own personality.
Care: Silk feels delicate, but is a very strong fabric and is easy to care for. Hand-wash in cold water. Use your hair conditioner to give it a soft feel and a lovely sweet smell. Never wring out a wet scarf as it may rip. Hang to dry & steam iron on silk/low setting if you want to. Many of the wrinkles are “set” into the fabric and are a natural result of the dying process.
